Clean and fresh room, with beach view, plenty big enough for 1 person, which is what i booked. Thankful to all staff, and that there is a lift, as i was on the 4th floor! "Lovely character full older property in its own grounds just outside Hastings. It suited our needs entirely as a quiet location out of town although the road to Rye passes outside but not unduly intrusive at all. Lovely period furniture in the public areas of the hotel with helpful and friendly staff especially at breakfast service. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and you have the time take a brief wander around the lake with its fountain, the grounds need a little work and tidying but its perhaps an ongoing project so we would stop here again."
