Amazing mansion conversion into an event center and hotel. And there is even a lift to get you up to the top floor! Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. It was somewhat difficult for me to find using GPS. Needed to ask for help at the Tesco petrol station.

Okay, so as long as you park within the parking space lines (for fire safety reasons) your stay at the Spindrift Guest House should be a great experience. The honesty bar in the lounge is extremely well-stocked. We did not partake, but the whisky selection according to my husband was excellent. The room is spacious and well-decorated. Staff were great. Food was fantastic. I highly recommend the garlic bread with cheese. Comfortable bed in a nice place. Easy to check in and out. Just walk inside and ask a staff member for the key.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean and quiet. Our group of 4 had excellent service and a great breakfast. We only stayed one night and wish we could have be there multiple days. The location was very convenient to explore Dunbar by foot. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Great and helpful staff and a well maintained facility

Ocean Mist Leith was outstanding in every way! Gordon was very helpful, courteous and accommodating during our stay, helping us with various information on transportation, restaurants and more. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding, and the employees servicing the breakfast area were terrific!

Owner Mark greeted us at Canny Mann. Very welcoming. Easy to park car in pub lot. Complimentary drink at pub. Stayed in champagne room. Brand new,large. Snack room nearby is nice- water,tea,coffee,cereal. Shops,restaurants nearby,as well as bus. 1.60 to city center,easy. We also walked to center, about 40min. No checkout required, just leave key in room door. Very easy. Feels like staying at a home in neighborhood.

Dalhousie Castle is the ideal place if you're looking to stay in a castle in the Edinburgh area. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center which is just far enough to be out in the peaceful Scottish countryside. The castle itself is absolutely beautiful, and sits on grounds that are equally so, with archery, falconry, and several great walking paths. We had a short stay in Edinburgh, and this hotel was a real highlight. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtful, and the room felt comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, so we slept well every night. The staff were especially good. They were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and they made the stay easy. We absolutely loved this hotel. Location was fantastic for walking, staff were friendly, food and beer were great, and our room and shared spaces were fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again.

The only downside to this property really was the lack of air conditioning. It was extremely humid when we were there and no way to remove the humidity from the room. But it wasn't hot or anything, so not a big deal. The staff was super nice, the breakfast was great, everything worked well. I especially loved how declining service came with a perk or a charity donation.
