"Quirky house, that took some getting used to, i did contact the agent/ owner the day before to say there was an extra adult , so as it was 3 bedrooms, there didnt seem to be any problems ? But only 2 rooms were made available, so the 3rd person decided to sleep on the couch. The slide bolts on the outside of the bedroom doors was unsettling as well. Not sure about the chickens in the front yard? And we were concerned about snakes, i did need to give the birds water on a couple of occasions, and...

"The property was perfect for our group of 5 couples. A very interesting house in a great location and with plenty of room. Air conditioning was great for a cold weekend. Unfortunately you weren’t permitted to have a drink or walk on the carpet which ruled out using the lounge room, so all our time was spent in the tiled dining room. Also more linen would have been appreciated."

"We needed a larger property in Canberra at short notice to accommodate family members coming together from around the country and overseas. The Watson property is in a quiet neighborhood with shops and a nice cafe a short walk away. The property can house a lot of guests and the self contained separate flat is a nice bonus providing a separate space for two people. "This house is in a good location & has the potential to be an 'executive' holiday letting but it is nowhere near that standard. For this reason, it is a misleading description and photographs and outrageously overpriced. The garden & lawns were overgrown. The keys were loose. The outside had not been cleaned for some time with spider webs & debris all around the doors & windows. The living area was spacious, but the furniture & arrangement of the seating area are nothing like the photograph....

"Spacious with a very nice location and great view of the lake. It's missing key kitchen items like drinking glasses, salt and pepper, cooking oil and cleaning supplies that would have made our stay more comfortable. Could have used a few extra towels and maybe some blackout blinds for the rooms that get a lot of light due to the nice large windows that walk out to the balconies. Overall a really good stay for a large group. The host was great with check-in times and communication."
