"We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future."

"The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. "Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended."

"Lovely small house which was perfect for us , en suites were great , beds really comfortable , kitchen was fully equipped , comfy sofas and only 10 minutes walk to the beach . Heating was set so the house was lovely and warm on arrival , great as it was icy outside . One small twist was the size of the tv , not small but not what most people are used to but not the end of the world ."

"The property was excellent and near the harbour so in easy reach of everything. With really nice pubs, restaurants and takeaways we were spoilt for choice for food. Bonus was the kippers at the other end of the road. Will definitely look to stay at the property again. Loved the property, situation and the surrounding area."

"Situated in a good location, in a quite village, with easy access to all that Northumberland has to offer. The property was clean and had all the facilities that you need, nicely furnished, comfy beds, great powerful shower. Plenty of games, videos, and TV (2).
