"Old with an interesting history and situated in pleasant grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant was excellent although a bit pricy. Room was on the small side but lovely. Only issue was the two large steps up into the bathroom with no handrails. Some people may find this problematic. "

"The hotel.was ideal for us, we bought our dog and was ideal.for that. The lake was disappointing but we went out and about and had a lovely time. The Singapore noodles were nit spicy at all as they should be but all other food was great."

"The staff were nice, Joanna that greeted us in particular was great and really good with our young daughter. The room was clean and in good condition. The sofa bed for our daughter was a good size but didn't seem the safest with lots of exposed metal parts which needed covering by towels and anything we had! The breakfast was very good on the Saturday but unfortunately not as good on the Sunday with multiple aspects missing."

"We booked a nights stay as we have recently booked our wedding at this hotel, we couldn't of asked for a better place to get married, rooms were excellent, spa was busy but it was valentine's weekend and the food was superb. We are more than happy to share with our family and friends after our nights stay"

"I really want to give this hotel 5 stars as the property, the staff and the restaurant were amazing. However, the mattress was horrible, the actual mattress was super hard and the comforter and sheets didn’t fit the mattress properly and we’re super uncomfortable. "
