"Disappointing Although refurbished to a good standard, the hotel has unfortunately kept a 1930s style lift, great to look at, but quite useless as a functioning lift. Particularly useless if you’re on the fourth floor as it only goes to three. It has a metal shutter style inner door that if left open when leaving, renders the lift inoperable. In a three day stay I had to find the lift on at least six occasions to close the door as my wife needed to use it. I would therefore, not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility problems. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Evening meals were good but kept the same menu so quite repetitive. The English breakfast was inedible. Fried egg burnt on the bottom, raw on top. Sausage with a skin so tough it was difficult to cut, and the remainder of the items had spent too long under a heat lamp so they had dried out. Great views but the hotel needs some sorting out. "

"The property was perfect for our needs. The views were great. Ours was an Autumn stay so didnt use the garden but it must be lovely in the summer.....secure and no paths or road directly outside. Not overlooked...parking private and spacious...the property had everything you could need....clean...comfortable...great access to the beach and coast path. (We no longer have dogs ....i did think that i may have been worried about them bringing too much sand or wet inside as the door opens directly into the kitchen diner...so recommend taking plenty of dog towels). We have been staying on the same site for about 14 years in a row but the chalet we used to rent is no longer available....this was an even better alternative so we will definitely try and use it again. The host was in touch before and during our stay to wish us a happy stay and to check we has everything we needed. No negatives at all. "

"We love it here. This was our second time at the property. It's perfect for our young family and is the ideal location for spending loads of time at the beach.One good addition to the property would be a clothes airer for drying off beach towels and wet suits etc.The kids have already asked us to book next year's holiday here!"

"We had a great stay at the elms and the property is stunning and in a great location. The only negative point we found was that the general cleaning of the property could have been better. This didn’t spoil our holiday though and I would return again."
