"We were able to stay a long weekend with our family that now has all young adults. Loved the house - it was the perfect size for the 5 of us, and had everything we could need. Dock was amazing for watching the sunrise and sunset, and Cape Charles was a quick drive for dinner and some shopping. Hope to come back for a longer stay!"

"My wife and our 2 dogs stayed for a week to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary.The house was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a weeks stay.We spent our time fishing crabbing and exploring the property. We made a couple day trips to Virginia Beach and Chincoteague to see the wild ponies. It was a great vacation!The host Ellen was very hospitable and provided fresh eggs and suggestions for activities.Our favorite part of our stay was the host doggie Birdy! She was so sweet to our doggies and they enjoyed thier time with her on the farm.I would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay again in the future!"

"Front desk staff was excellent, they were so friendly, and personable, I’ve never had check in staff so wonderful before. The room was nice, it was clean, the walls are a little thin, so you can hear other people’s TVs and noise in the hallway but other than that, it was fabulous would definitely stay here again"

"We had an absolute blast over Memorial Day weekend! The house was the perfect getaway — peaceful, relaxing, and full of little adventures. The pier was a highlight for us. We caught 3 stingrays, 2 eels, fish, crab, and even oysters — such a fun variety that kept us on our toes!It was also such a treat to bring our dogs along and include our fur family in the fun. We enjoyed dinner every night in the screened-in patio and sipped coffee each morning on the upstairs deck — just the kind of relaxing time we needed.Conveniently located too — Walmart was only about 20 minutes away for anything we needed. We’ll definitely be back again!Great host- endured we were taken care of! "

"First, the house is clean, well-stocked with the comforts of home, and architecturally stunning in a classic/traditional way. The sunsets are amazing. The breezes off the bay are refreshing. The whole property has a sense of peace. As a young man, I grew up fishing the many lakes, bays and marshlands of Louisiana …. also I worked and played on my grandfather’s farm in Virginia. This plays combines the two, magnificently. My wife, our two young boys, and the dog were at ease in this wonderful place. The kitchen is a dream. Form card games, to movies, to stargazing, to exploring the bay on our boat, right from the backyard …. we truly enjoyed a special place. We loved fishing and finding island beaches. Don’t hesitate … just book it and enjoy!"

"This cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is in a quiet neighborhood very close to the downtown area. It was so clean and neat. Decorated very tastefully. It was a comfortable, happy cottage. We will definitely be back."
