"Gorgeous historical property for which I spent more than usual due to such wonderful reviews from everywhere. I was studying the capital Urnes stave church and could just take the little ferry across the field to get there. The old world charm of the garden with the summer house, the lovely appointed dining room and salon, and the charming village climbing up the hill behind the hotel made the stay delightful. If the dollar weren’t so weak, it would be more affordable!"
