"We had a great time staying here. It was a great location to be able to visit the Sognefjord sites without being right in Flåm or one of the other touristy sites. You would need a car, however. Breakfast was so-so, but we ate dinner in their restaurant one night and it was quite good, although expensive. The room we stayed in was quite warm and there was no way to adjust the thermostat, but we opened the door to the balcony and cooled it off. "

"Gudvangen is a small village and the scenery of the fjords was stunning. The Gudvangen Fjordtell hotel is perfect. We had a family room with one main room and another room with two bunk beds and a small kitchenette that was a nice surprised. The back of the room has a sitting area with a view of 3 small waterfalls. The room was very clean. Highly recommended. The kayak tour was fantastic also. Book your stay and activities early in advance. "
