"Such wonderful hosts and a great location! We had a great time going from onsen to onsen and stopping at the snack bar across the road before retiring for the night. "

"First time in kinosaki and this place checked every box. Extremely clean and extremely great staff. The meals were excellent as well.
It’s a small resort with only a small amount of rooms but our room had a river side window that was wonderful in the morning. For anyone worried about noise the whole town is very quiet so it’s not an issue at all.
The resort has 2 private onsens and what’s really nice is lights throughout the hotel show if it’s opened or not so you don’t have to go all the way down to check. Also incase it’s not clear the resort does include access to the towns wonderful public onsens. At night and throughout the day the lounge is open for guests and includes open access to an open selection of snacks and liquor including: sake, wine, and beer.
10/10 wonderful resort wonderful staff
Dinner: excellent.if you don’t order anything extra or special: Start off by picking whatever items you want steamed (big selection of veggies, sea food, pork belly, oyster, etc.) they also allowed one half serving of the famous crab per person. Then they serve you a large beautiful sashimi platter. Then they bring you the main course. For us it was the tajima beef with rice and a couple other ways to enjoy it as well. Drinks were open for whatever you wanted and however much you wanted.
If there was any negative it would be no shower in our room which dinner matter because the 2 onsens had a shower+ soaps and it was nice to get ready down stairs and soak after."
"Staff were fantastic, very helpful and accommodating with all our requests. The breakfast was the best part of the stay, incredible value for a Japan style breakfast"
"Our group of 4 adults had a wonderful stay here. The location is excellent, close to shopping, restaurants and the other public onsens. There is a shuttle that you can take to visit the other onsens (free). The hotel’s onsite onsen was very nice as well..lots of amenities like shampoo and facial cleansers and creams to wash up before and after the onsen use. While the hotel is a little dated, the excellent service, comfy futons, and delicious Japanese style breakfasts and dinners make up for it. Be sure to have dinner at the hotel…the dining experience is delightful with the well-prepared and beautifully presented multi courses. Each course was a work of art as well as delicious and filling. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite and welcoming. We had two older adults in our group who were finding it difficult to get up and down from the Japanese style floor futons. The hotel does have some rooms with Western style beds but they were booked. So the staff offered to bring in a platform for my two older aunties which raised their beds higher off the floor. That made a huge difference and there was no charge for this service. On our last day, they drove us to the train station with their hotel shuttle, free of charge. I offered to pay even with a tip but they kindly refused. What a wonderful stay and a great experience. I highly recommend this hotel and I won’t hesitate to stay here again."
"We stayed in a prong room with a small terrace which was great to look over the street and people watch. Very quiet and relaxed hotel. The room was perfectly clean and presented. Such a lovely check in from staff who helped so much with our lack of Japanese. The private bath was great. Excellent location, only across the road for a couple of onsen. Map and guidance on yukata given. Would definitely stay again."
"A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater like myself.
A little disappointed that the room view was blocked by netting for maintenance, which Inwas advised prior to arrival but after booking. I think some form of discount would have been nice for the inconvenience considering I had booked a river view room."
"The hotel experience was awesome and the staff could not have been nicer. Beautiful lobby with garden view and appreciated the welcome drink from the bar.
The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. Decoration was truly Japanese, with tatami mats and sliding doors. The room provided appropriate clothing for the onsens…yukata, obi, sandals etc. The onsen was modern, spotless and spacious, with both inside and outdoors areas, the later made of large rocks.
The shuttle service to other onsen areas and to and from the train station was an added plus."
