"Ockenden manor was beautiful and staff very accommodating and friendly. We were also upgraded at check in which was a nice surprise. The room was beautifully designed, and bathroom and bedding were clean, although we did find two pieces of rubbish left behind by a previous guest in the room. Hotel guests can access the spa at no additional cost from 2pm on day of check in to 2pm on day of check out and the spa facilities were beautiful. Good vegan and veggie options at breakfast. We loved our stay and will definitely be back."

"A beautifully renovated old barn. Just stunning, beautiful views out the double height glass of the surrounding paddocks and woodland. Superb. One quirk to be aware of.. the bathroom and toilet are open plan to the whole barn , so you can hear everything. It is upstairs so itâ€™s not in line of sight. Also there are many steps and the bathroom/toilet is upstairs so may not suitable for someone with limited mobility. Also there is no walk in shower, but there is a gorgeous claw foot bath with hand shower.It suited us well!"

"The house is very well maintained and welcoming! We had a large family stay together, all of the living rooms, dining room, an kitchen made for a wonderful space for us to be together. The house is fully furnished for an infant/toddler - high chair, crib/cot, plates and bowls, utensils, some games and books!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."
