"Right off the bat, there was what appeared to be cat urine on the master bed blanket and crumbs on the top bunk bed, the bathroom was NOT clean so we had to buy products to clean it, the basement door was left wide open to the outside despite the house rules stating not to use it and there was active construction happening in the backyard next to the firepit. This was ALL noticeable upon check-in. The home itself is cute but everything in it is dated. The window unit is the only way you're getting air flow unless you keep the doors open because the windows do not open.There's box fans supplied but they were so dirty that we opted not to risk the dust storm.The parking is abysmal but that wasn't that big of a deal as our vehicles aren't large. Construction workers were present on site until Wednesday late afternoon/early evening. So we got a not so fun wake up call on our first two mornings and just had to adjust our entire days around a construction crew. The construction was for a cement wall that was built mere steps from the firepit with an orange wrap and rebar nestled between. This wasn't disclosed to us before check in.After the crew left, we settled in until Saturday.On Saturday, we were awoken by two women in the basement speaking LOUDLY. It was the "home maintainer", as she called herself. She was just checking out the place with guests still inside, without a call ahead and without regard to what those guests might be doing in that moment. Beyond disrespectful."

"Great house in a prime location. You can walk to two restaurants and one is right in the beach! The house has been updated inside and is super nice. Loved all the artwork and high end linens. The gift basket was such a nice touch and loved the clear communication."

"We had a great stay despite the weather. The bathroom was pretty small as were the bedrooms. Had to navigate to and from bath with our bags all on the floor since there was no closet space. The place was decorated very nicely. Appreciated the fire pit and bicycles, but then again never got to use due to the wether. Location was great. Was able to walk to our family picnic that was post posted due to weather. And we met a an adorable family of deer that visited the area daily."

From the well stocked & organized kitchen, lots of comfortable bedrooms & 3 bathrooms to the extras like games, hot tub & beach items, it definitely was a wonderful place to create memories. The house was updated, clean & communication was great! We loved it! Thanks"

"Property was accurately described in the listing. Walked a few minutes to Lake MI. Can see the Lake from Cottage side enclosed porch. Host very easy to contact if I needed her but was grateful she did not bother me or show up like some hosts have done with past stays. Had a very peaceful visit with my dog."

"This is the second time I stayed in this VRBO. There were 3 of us and we all agreed this is a wonderful property. It is warm and cozy and inviting. There are many amenities that make it nice such as a well stocked kitchen. We had family over for dinner and while we brought mostof what we needed to cook, it was nice that there were some spices available that we didn’t bring. The location is terrific. We walked the channel and the beach. I recommend this VRBO and give it a 5 star rating. "
