The main structure of this unique cabin was once a 100 year old barn. The reclaimed lumber was brought to this 3 1/2 acre, pristine piece of land and converted into a rustic cabin on the edge of a 10 acre lake. The 8 inch hand-hewn beams support an upstairs loft on each side of the great room below. (4 bedrooms) The original plank cherry floor supports it all.
Sliding glass doors and banks of windows invite you into the outdoors. The absence of close neighbors brings a sense of wonder, joy, and peace. It's yours alone.
Setting on the screened in front porch in the morning reveals a multitude of sparkling diamonds as the sun shines on the surface of the lake. The afternoon sun sends shafts of light through the green of the trees and shows off the beauty of the woods.
A private driveway of .4 miles takes you down a one lane road that a visitor once described as "driving into a Currier and Ives painting." When you see the wooden rail fence on the left, the woods open up to reveal the cabin.
When I first saw this place, 20+ years ago, I fell in love with the peace and beauty of both water and woods. I had a sense, right from the beginning that this place was for me, but not just for me. I was to share it with others. So there you have it, that's how your invitation came about. So come and experience "The Promised Land."
I am not a professional hostess, but I have hosted many people here before. In the past I facilitated many retreats on this property. I love sharing this special place and look forward to welcoming you.
