"This was a great place to stay to be able to walk into the Dales. It was a beautiful setting and very good parking. The restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced with fantastic staff! Shower was excellent especially after a damp walk into the hills! Would definitely stay here again. Note, while there is not an electric car charging port, there is one very close by."

"Herriot house is a lovely old stone building in a prime place right in the middle of Hawes village. We were met by the host on arrival...he was informative and friendly .explained everything we needed to know.. The room was lovely .comfortable and clean..tea and coffee were plentyful and homemade cookies and water were also there..the bed was realy comfortable The water pressure in the shower was great. Everything was lovely .we were left a small flask of cold milk in the morning outside the door and breakfast was perfect ..we had filled in a form as to what we wanted to eat and drink the evening before so it was brought to us as required..a lovely place to stay ..excellent"

"Very good service, room comfortable with a lovely Lounge and Bar with beautiful fittings and decor. An amazing lift and great ambience in the Dining Room. A delicious dinner and breakfast. A stunning after dinner walk in picturesque surroundings. Could do with an advertising board nearer the M6 as you are such a hidden gem!"
