"Really great 4 night stay here for a work trip. Flat was lovely and clean other than whoever washed up last didn't do a great job as some of the plates were a bit dirty. Flat is in a perfect location with a supermarket a 10 second walk away and surrounded by restaurants. Also a 2 minute walk to some lovely gardens. Would definitely recommend."

"We loved the location and felt very much at home in a comfortable home. Particularly liked the armchair in the window overlooking the reservoir. We were walking 7 “Ethels” in the Dark Peak and all were easily accessible from Martha’s Cottage so ideal for our purposes. Pie Night at the Pickled Pheasant was also a nice discovery!"

"A well equipped and beautifully located cottage. Good position for visiting Buxton, Chester Zoo and all the Peak District walks. Good Local amenities. Friendly owners on hand for any issues or queries. Easily sleeps 8 (2 double and 2 twin room) and has two lovely hot showers. Plenty space for families!"

"We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again"

"The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

"Lovely cosy cottage with a fantastic view. It was quite a walk to the nearest pub but very close to lovely walks for the dog. We were staying over Christmas so visiting family on most of the days but able to spend a couple of evenings in the cottage. Some lovely touches with the fairy lights and the procseco to celebrate the season. Would love to stay again in the summer and be able to sit out with a glass of wine and admire the view. John and Vicky were very keen that we had all the things we needed for our stay, and were able to tell us about the cottage and the local area. A lovely location even in winter - it must be even better in spring/summer. Sadly we had chosen the cottage because a hot tub was advertised as it would have helped with the children.
