"Bar was nice"

"The first night we were in a room no bigger than our child’s bedroom, a double rather than a queen bed, with a bathroom smaller than a matchbox and, worst of all, without a/c. All rooms were booked so we couldn’t make any changes. The hotel sent maintenance to our room with a box fan. The fan was helpful but just not enough. We were moved to a much larger room the next night where the a/c worked wonderfully. The staff was kind. The valets were awesome. We just wish the first night had been more comfortable. We’ll have to give the hotel another try someday in the future. "

"The only disappointment was the hotel said downtown Riverwalk and it was not on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. It was downtown about a five minute walk from the Riverwalk. It was still nice. I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful."

"The parking system is hell, the room doors don't open properly and the breakfasts are a terrible experience. Besides the monotonous menu the amount of people trying to get a bit of something reminds me the images of refugee camps! After many years this my last stay in a La Quinta hotel."
