"We chose this property because of its proximity to Silverton and many of the surrounding 4x4 trails. With 3 dogs in tow this made for a perfect home base. The property is large and well behaved dogs are free to roam."

"Spacious and comfortable home for our group of seven. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong, and arcade games. Coffee in the morning on the patio was perfection! Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and very comfortable. Only negative was the noisy plumbing that sounded like there was air in the pipes. We chose to drink bottled water because of the "salty" taste of the treated water."

"Loved staying in this charming home in Bayfield. We were 2 adults and 2 teens, and there was plenty of space to spread out. Clawfoot tub was lovely! Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of charm throughout the house. Immaculate and comfortable. Walking to restaurants in Bayfield was fun, and Durango is only a short drive away. Would stay here again. Thanks!"

"My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Lavender House. There was a little hiccup with checking in but this was quickly remedied. The property is beautiful and set on a working farm. There are horses, donkeys, chickens and dogs. We enjoyed this aspect of the farm. The owner was quick to respond to us but we had very few questions as everything was self-explanatory. "We had a wonderful time at the house with 19 people. As other reviews stated the kitchen is well stocked, but we wish there had been an electric griddle for pancakes. There was a plethora of games, movies, yard toys, books, puzzles, and anything you would want to do. There was new carpet in all the bedrooms which was very nice and plenty of beds and bedding for our whole group. We had some little ones in our group so we stuck around the house quite a bit. All the grandkids loved the hot tub...

" Nice house. TV’s in bedrooms would be nice. Curtains in the bathroom with the claw foot tub would REALLY be nice. Hot water heater ran out of gas but the management team was quick to reply and was able to get it filled the next day. I’d book with them again "

"Its a beautiful area and the owner was right on top of responding to my messages. The only thing that i am bummed about was we drove 19 hrs and were counting on the hot tub to relax in only to get there and see a sign that said "Hot tub out of commission." The house was clean and nicely decorated and no complaints there accept we did have to wash the dishes before we could use them. Not sure if they had been in dishwasher and didn't get ran and put away mistakenly. Anyway, all in all it was...

"The house was located about 10 minutes outside of Durango. It was an easy drive to get to the downtown area. The house itself is located in an older neighborhood but nice and spacious. There was plenty of room for eight of us. It did not have air conditioning but many homes in Colorado don’t. It did appear as if it might be having something installed soon though. Overall we had a great stay!"
