"Unfortunately, due to the flooding last year, no restaurant, bar nor spa was available. I would have liked to know that before booking. Staff was very nice but only worked limited hours. At arrival, no other cars were in the parking lot. Front door was unlocked, but nobody in the hotel. There was an envelope on the front desk with my name on it. Inside was a room key (an actual key) and a nice note to lock the front door behind me for the night, or if we went out again. I was taken back at first, but it did add a friendly small-town appeal to the property. The room and shower were clean and tidy but very dated and small. "

"We having always enjoyed staying here with the rustic atmosphere, river balconies and convenience to local shops, restaurants and Chimney Rock State Park and were so glad it reopened along with other places in town. The only negative is staff/office is not always available onsite (but we didnt need anything important) and no ice machine (but we were fine with our cooler and fridge in room)."

"We had a great stay in Bat Cave. It was the perfect location for us to travel between Chimney Rock and Gerton daily. The rooms were as described and just what we needed for 4 people to stay comfortably. We unfortunately didn't get to use alot of the amenities because the weather was bad or we were just too tired from our mission trip, but the place had a working kitchen, patios, fire pit and pool table that would have been amazing to use. The house is very big, complete with the laundry room, which we did use. Was a little hard to find. Had to have a local help us because GPS couldn't get us all the way there. Kenny is very responsive and easy to work with. A for the trip. "

"Taking into consideration that the town is still pretty quiet and much is still not open due to Hurricane Helene, we had a pleasant stay. It was our anniversary weekend and I thought I had booked a room with a hot tub, but had not. The place was empty so I asked for an upgrade to the hot tub room, the website said there was availability and of course I was happy to pay any fees. The management said the room was booked for the weekend. I never saw any other cars come onto the property and the only one that did stayed 2 doors down from us in a room similar to ours. It’s a place to sleep. Nothing more or less. No in room coffee, microwave, or even a hair dryer. Pretty but very basic "

"Nice little quiet, relaxing spot. Wife, pup & I enjoyed our weekend here. Great location close to restaurants & other things. A couple minor suggestions, big window in the bedroom doesn't close all the way or lock. Could use a slightly more comfortable mattress & definitely some better pillows. Maybe we'll check out one of the other cabins next time we're in the area, thanks! "
