Although clean enough, the entire property is in an advanced state of dilapidation. From the moment you walk in the front door--which itself is in need of major renovation--you are hit with a powerful wave of cleaning fluid fumes. The smell is so powerful it saturates your clothing--you will have to throw everything into the laundry once you get home. The reception desk looks more like the front desk of a county jail. The "free breakfast" consists of a plate of stale mini-donuts and bad coffee. The "pool" is closed and by all appearances hasn't been functional in years. Construction materials (including tossed-away work gloves) are scattered throughout the hallways--it's as if the place is under perpetual renovation by low-budget contractors who show up every week or two to put a new dab of paint here and there, but never finish the job. At night, the parking lot is crowded with suspicious characters who clearly are not staying in the hotel. Signage in the lobby warns guests that local police make random checks on the property, the implication being "you better behave!". In short: This place is a nightmare. Avoid it all costs.
