Nice river view and calm

Our experience at Domescapes at Swinging Gate Winery in Sidmouth, Tasmania was nothing short of unforgettable. Two nights spent nestled amidst the picturesque vineyards & rolling hills of the Tamar Valley, our dome offered a perfect blend of luxury & adventure. Each day began with breathtaking views right from the comfort of our cosy bed & ended with a local Tassie wine under the stars—a complimentary bottle of one of Swinging Gates fabulous wines! A very comfortable home away from home with many extras and just across the street from the conference that I was attending. It's in the centre of historic George Town and a scenic walking path goes past the property . I appreciated the free internet, soft drinks, real coffee and fresh milk, not to mention the sauna. The owner/mangers were welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive.

Not the most modern but still very comfortable place to stay. Has everything you need and continental breakfast was included. Food at the pub is excellent. Great views. Just a pity it was raining. Would recommend to my friends.

Peaceful location

York Cove Hotel is in a very picturesque location, across the cove from George Town. It is a self-managed hotel so there is no one on the premise to help you but the manager answered the phone since I didn’t receive any check in information ahead. The pool was not in operation but the room and bathroom is very spacious and clean. The area is beautiful, nice place to relax for a few days.

Great place to stay. Easy walk to Seaport. Would stay again.

Nice amenities and helpful staff. Lots of wildlife on the property

Linda and Andre were wonderful hosts. The property was just as described, conveniently located, and like home. Andre gave us great travel advice and made us a delicious breakfast.

Front desk and Guest Services were welcoming and helpful. facilities were clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Golf and tennis were closed for renovation, but the driving range was really fun.

Reception was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. There are a number of steps up to the hotel from parking but there is an entrance on the side where someone could be dropped off/picked up if they couldn't manage the steps. The room was very clean and my bed was very cozy and comfortable. I walked to the park with the monkeys which was very close, then downtown and then to the gorge along the zigzag trail and back which made for a long walk but was doable!

Clean room, charming house with a nice mix of traditional and modern. Excellent breakfast. At first the lack of staff unnerved me but help was easily available and so friendly.

Helpful staff, clean accommodations. Great views

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Room, bathroom were clean. Bed was comfy. Fridge had milk . Nescafé coffee pods were excellent. The restaurant on the premises had good choices. There are several eateries just in walking distance. Front desk staff are friendly and polite. Views from our room were fantastic.
