The location was excellent; however, the discerning differential was the outstanding staff. Damien, Reuben and Andrew manned the restaurant extremely well and attended to my every need. The housekeeping staff were also polite and extremely attentive, Lastly, the breakfast chef was excellent.

It's an old hotel and full of charm. I had a delicious pub style lunch in the restaurant/pub and an amazing full English breakfast (eat as much as you like) in the morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't get hot water in my shower and the front desk clerk came up promptly and showed me how to use it. The room was spacious and warm (October) with lots of storage space and a modern bathroom. I was very pleased with my stay there.

Our 16 night stay here in Jun/Jul of 2015 redefined the meaning of hospitality for us. From the manager on down, the service was superb: Zyta and Natalie are superstars! What a gem! If you are looking for a charming and affordable place to stay in the London area, look no further. Located in adorable Godalming and a quick 45-min train ride into the heart of London, the Rose and Crown was perfect for our family of 4. We loved the old Inn feel. It was just what we were looking for on our tour of the English countryside. The staff was outstanding. The breakfast was excellent as well. No complaints.
