"Good hotel"

"Can highly recommend the Hotel Cathedrale Strasbourg with its beautiful decor. We recently stayed here as the anchoring point for our long awaited post-COVID holiday! The absolute plus features of the hotel are the staff: front desk people available 24/7 and are friendly, competent and helpful. Cleaners are friendly, quick, work around your schedule. The staff/hosts in the welcoming breakfast room are also great. Food available is plentiful and varied including eggs, local meats and cheeses, wide variety of local bread and pastries, and jams, juices, and a good variety of hot drinks. As young seniors the stairs to the 1st floor elevator to the rooms were not an issue. (This might be hard for guests with limited mobility.) We signed up for a double room which worked for us but if you want the space of a North American room, you might feel cramped. There is limited vehicular traffic in the square and taxi service is not easy. We used local transportation to get around - a couple of blocks away, the trams are frequent, reliable and it is fairly easy to get to and from the train station and other sites. To our delight, the hotel was located on the main square right opposite the tremendous Strasbourg Cathedrale. The architecture, astronomical clock, ringing bells, tours, pilgrims, enhanced the striking presence inside and outside the church. There are many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and the tourist bureau is also right on the square. Enjoy!"

"Wonderful stay. Perfect spot if you want to be on the historic center of the city. My room did not have a balcony but many large windows the opened to let the sunshine and breezes in. Very large bathroom. Staff was warm and friendly and fluent in several languages; breakfast was very good. There is also a lovely and comfortable sitting area just off the lobby where you can relax and where they provide copies of top international newspapers each morning, including Le Monde and the New York Times. Photo is the view from my room. I asked for Double but ended up with large room with two twins and a set of bunk beds. I appreciated the large room and would be perfect for several friends traveling together or a family, even with smaller children!"

"This hotel was amazing!!!! The staff was lovely, the hotel was very comfortable, and the location was INSANELY AMAZING, you cannot get a better location. Its about a 20min walk from the train station, and within veiw of the incredible Strasbourg Cathedral. Lots of goood restraunt choices near-by, and the tourist iffice is within a 2min walk. Absolutely amazing hotel, I would absaloutly stay here again, it was my favorite hotel in France! "

"This is a wonderful hotel! This was our second time staying at this property. The staff is exceptional! They went above and beyond at checkout to get us to our departure bus at the train station so we would not miss out flight. I cannot thank them enough. Wonderful service! Would stay here again and again!"

"This property is wonderful. We loved the location, staff, room clean very nice. This hotel is really close to the train station walking distance was perfect for us. They also let us borrow an electric adapter. It rained one day they gave us umbrellas to use. They went out of there way to make our stay amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Here are the downsides; not to discourage you from staying here but to inform you. The bed was hard and uncomfortable for us. Linens were good. Place is clean, made service lady very nice. The shower door needs to be wider it’s hard to keep the water 🚿 in and not get the floor wet. Our window was right at the front corner. Beautiful view but the night light across the walkway is bright. You can’t leave your window open because of that light. I loved it otherwise. Shopping, exploring and eating is everywhere close. Plus the hotel offers food. Strasbourg is incredible, this is a great place to stay and we recommend it! "
