"No getting around it is an old hotel and we loved it! Do to a review that I was a little disappointed I couldn’t get the room I wanted, the staff called our room and gave us an upgrade for free! It’s awesome that they pay attention to social media, which made our stay even better! Thank you Marshall House!"

"The staff were awesome…and whomever made the grits, they were divine! Our only issue were the plantation blinds on the 1st floor room were not sufficient to drown out the landscape lights near the windows, but we worked it out. I don’t recall that it was on the hotel listing, but they had social hour Mon - Wed with free wine/beer. We almost missed it! Great hotel near everything!"

"Great location!! Loved that it was within walking distance of River Walk and City Market. We stayed in a river view balcony room and I would have preferred it had a better cleaning. Floors were sticky and with the dark color wood you can see all the dust. Also thought it was strange there was no trash bin in the bathroom. Wish there would have been a refrigerator in the room as well. The bed was comfy but could tell it was an older mattress (lumpy and low spots). Was disappointed about the size...
