"Mary's cabin was a life-saver; she was very gracious and fast communicating back and forth with. We had an issue with a rental from another site and needed a place to stay within short notice. Mary arranged for us to get in sooner than original check in time because of this. The drive up to the cabin is very peaceful and the location of the cabin on Lake Hiawassee is amazing! Place was immaculately clean when we arrived. It is very spacious for many people to stay and be comfortable. One of the best features is the screened in back porch area. We enjoyed hanging out there eating breakfast, enjoying nature, playing card games, and putting together a puzzle on the large table. Cabin was well stocked with everything that we needed for our stay. Be aware that there is no cell signal up there but fast WiFi was provided at the cabin. It's a little bit of a drive from downtown Murphy so make sure to stock up on groceries before visiting. Be sure to drive a few miles up the road and visit Fields of the Wood. It's the largest display of the 10 Commandments. The Hiawassee Dam is nearby too so be sure to visit that location. We caught a wonderful sunset there while having a picnic. Mary gave some great suggestions to visit. One was Copperhill,TN. It's about a 40 min drive. It's a quaint mountain town with some cool restaurants and shops. Be sure to drive 20 more minutes down to Blue Ridge, GA. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and look forward to staying here again!"

"Hey, it’s the Best Western and you get what you pay for…. The staff were friendly & helped with providing a fan & air freshener which our room needed on the first night. The room was clean-just seemed to have been closed up for a bit. Parking is free and we were able to park close to the stairs to make access to the 2nd floor a little easier. Free breakfast-well, again, you get what you pay for. It’s low quality coffee, edible eggs & sausage or cereals. Our room did not get service the 3 nights we stayed midweek. Fresh towels were made available upon request. I would stay there again if I needed a place to stay, but the Bee-dub might not be my 1st choice."

Charming Blue Ridge Cabin! Hot Tub, Hiking, Close to Blue Ridge Attractions!

"We enjoyed our time at the cabin and were very happy with the host! The cabi was VERY CLEAN-great location convenient to McCaysville and Blue Ridge. Coffee on the front porch was so very peaceful! There were a couple of other properties (not in pics) that share the driveway...vacant during our stay. Upon entry, the temp had been set to heat 78 by accident, but, thankfully, it cooled before bedtime. Comfortable King bedroom upstairs, easy check-in/access, and plenty of towels, toiletries, and paper products. Few minor things: both vent hood light & undercabinet lights inoperative in kitchen (my eyes need extra light lol), two plugs along kitchen wall were inoperative. We searched but only found one remote for all three TVs, swing was not hanging as in pics, pictured LR furniture had been changed to simple blue sofa and loveseat (nice and comfortable, just not what we expected from pics). I informed host of the lights/plugs and told him about the jetted tub ran out of hot water after about 4" :( ...one of the reasons we chose this cabin since I can't physically enjoy the hot tub. Host did apologize for the issues. Overall, a nice, quiet retreat with beautiful screened hot tub room/table and a very nice firepit. We would have enjoyed the firepit, but it was too warm during our stay...and we were tired from enjoying visiting the towns anyway!!! Don't miss the Cuban Lady guava empanadas (get a pic on the state line) or the Twisted Tomato pizzas/cheesesticks!!"

"This was our second year in a row staying at this property. Once again, everything was great. This time we got to utilize the hot tub, which was really nice. We used the fireplace outside every day and there was plenty of wood. We plan to come back again on our next trip to the area. Our dog loved it also"
