"This is an older guest house with limited facilities situated in a charming village just minutes from Gatwick Airport. There is no elevator or AC and the rooms are very small. In the room there was an electric kettle and provisions to make a cup of tea, no coffee. The staff was very helpful and carried my bags to the 3rd floor, The cab cost $23 from the airport. "I was flying from Canada. As soon as I've landed in Gatwick, they called me to cancel my reservation stating they overbooked. The airport shuttle is convenient—it's not cheap, but neither is taking an Uber, even though the hotel is less than two miles from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no air conditioning or fan, so opening the windows meant some road noise. The hotel restaurant was decent, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Turn left out of the hotel to reach a pleasant, pedestrian-friendly area...
