It was my sons 13th birthday and I let them know by email (expecting maybe a card) but they left him balloons and birthday biscuits in our room, he was absolutely thrilled... "What a great place to stay, right in the middle of everything but not near enough to hear noise. The room we had was at the top so a lot of stairs (which doesn’t bother us) so if you are not able to manage stairs then ground floor would be better for you."
