"We had a lovely stay at Beech Hill Hotel. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they were always attentive. We were also lucky enough to receive a complimentary room upgrade on arrival, which was a really nice surprise! We had both breakfast and an evening meal at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed both. The facilities were great too. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely come back. Thank you to all the staff at Beech Hill for making our stay so lovely!"

"Friendly, well run and well located hotels. Good to be within walking distance of the town and with lively views of surrounding fells. Undoubtedly this historic hotel would benefit from an upgrade and I look forward to seeing the results of new ownership."

"Strange entrance to our room as had to hold the fire door open and room door to get the cases in. Room was clean as was bathroom although bath panel very scruffy. Due to the style of sink turning the tap on causes a tidal wave and wets you through so have to use cautiously! Had to pay for parking as didn’t book directly with hotel."

"Nice hotel in a great location between Windermere and Bowness. Hotel was clean, well maintained with basic amenities including a bar, car parking, and a restaurant for breakfast. We chose a basic ground floor room with a king size bed, en-suite with a shower. The room was clean and comfortable and suitable for our needs. An excellent breakfast was served daily. With options of full English, Salmon, pancakes, cereals, fruits and breads to choose from. All in all an affordable comfortable hotel in a great location."

"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

"Warm welcome and amazing, helpful staff team. Lovely clean rooms and great water pressure. Buffet style cooked breakfast was only thing that was not 100% ... one day it was all pretty dried under the lights, although the next stay it was much busier and breakfast was fresher as turnaround of stock was faster. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was good but a little pricy, although expected for a hotel restaurant. We would definitely stay again if in the area."
