"Great base for exploring North Wales , excellent location for beach and prom . Well equipped everything you need for self catering . Clean and tidy, bit of a squeeze in the bedroom but okay. An ideal cottage just one complaint , the bed, noisy springs and uncomfortable . Sorry but you have to be honest about these things. Easily solved with a new mattress ."

"We have used Hotels.com many times and Sykes cottages a number of times this past year al very good and this was excellent. The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi. "The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"We had a great stay on Bath St. The house was brilliantly appointed, Andy and Barbara were extremely welcoming and thoughtful hosts who had provided everything we could need for a really comfortable stay. The location, right in Chester City is fantastic, but enough of a step off the beaten track to be quiet and relaxing inside. "
