"Great place to stay if you want to have a base near the south coast to go exploring. This is particularly good for those on a budget as the place has a guest kitchen which meant we didn’t have to spend loads of eating out. The whole place has a very chilled out vibe. Nice lounge and bar area. "

Every detail felt thoughtful and authentic, and it was clear a lot of care went into preserving the farmhouse’s character. One of the highlights was being able to interact with the horses on the property. It added such a peaceful, magical touch to the experience and made us feel even more connected to the beautiful Icelandic countryside. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Next time, we’ll definitely plan for an extended visit. Highly recommend this unique and charming stay to anyone looking for a memorable experience off the beaten path."

"Hotel Selja sits alone in a vast, flat landscape with stunning views. You'd not think much of it when driving up to it, but once inside, you're greeted by warm staff members and cozy, bright rooms. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. We had a very yummy dinner there served on short notice and received with much gratitude. The breakfast buffet had everything we could want to start our day - it was delicious. It's a perfect overnight location for catching the early morning ferry out to Heimaey Island. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"
