We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. This was a last minute trip to get away from the cold weather in Dallas. We decided to go, found the cabin and got on the road all in an hour. The cabin was clean (most importantly and not always the case with other properties), ROOMY, quiet, cute and convenient! Just a few minutes from Main Street in FB and not much further from our favorite place, people and music at Johnny Nichols’ Hill Top Cafe. The owner gave us great advice for the best roads to ride our bikes around Blanco and Canyon Lake.

Rooms were very clean and quiet. Never saw any staff. Breakfast wasn’t available

The resort is very easy to find, but feels remote. Plenty of parking, super clean grounds. Cabin 109 was perfect for two adults. It’s essentially a studio; one giant room with two beds, a table, and the cutest little kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge and freezer, and sink. There were no napkins, silverware, paper towels, or plates, so BYO if you plan on eating in the room. Coffee/ single Keurig was provided with pods, sugar and creamer. Everything was great! Clean, good housekeeping, free breakfast, courteous staff, pool and hot tub, great location.

Cute cabin for girls weekend. Had everything we needed to make meals, coffee, etc. Great private location, very quiet and remote with wonderful hosts. Loved it!

Cutest b&b vibe ever. My boyfriend and I stayed and had so much space, felt like our own little home! It was so nice and the bed was extremely comfy. Super convenient and the 290 wine shuttle picks up right across the street. Will be back!!

Great next time I will get the bigger one. It was so nice to hang out in the hot tub and watch the deer!

Easy check in. Beautiful location. Felt really peaceful. Would def stay again!

Extremely clean. Loved the rooftop sitting area. We were so happy to have a hot tub that was actually hot. There does need to be a step for entry. It was a bit difficult for me to get in. It would also be nice to have path lights. It was a very dark walk to the place at night. There is no tv, but that's ok because we were there only one night. We would definitely go back. It is a beautiful, secluded property very close to downtown. Communication with the owner was excellent.

This is an excellent addition to Fredericksburg. The hotel took years to complete and it shows in the quality. The staff is very well trained. The prices are a bit excessive in the restaurant but there are lots of other dining options in town. There is an odd $25 amenities fee that is charged with each stay, I guess to use the pool or the exercise room, which we didn't use but...anyway that seems a bit unusual. Overall I would say this is a very nice place to stay

I absolutely loved the treehouse! My only complaint is the water in the shower doesn’t stay hot long but after viewing the area I completely understood why. It is secluded and beautiful! The swing and tv area underneath the house was amazing! The hotub was clean and a nice size. The house was clean and provided everything needed for a quick getaway! THE VIEWS!!!!!!! Overall, this was an AMAZING stay!

Best thing was how quiet the room was. No individual AC coming on and off. A central system. Just set the temp and it was maintained even in the Austin heat quietly. The front desk staff was especially helpful when my car rear window was broken out in a freak hail storm.
