"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep. There is a fridge and hot water urn in the room, but no tea or coffee (lucky I had my own)and only...

"Not a great place to stay.Reception unattended at all times, no there to help you. Staff don’t care about guests, stayed there more than a week and the room was not even serviced once, shower was really bad not water pressure,cold or hot water very hard to get warm water. The only good thing about the place is the location, walking distance to one of the lifts, and theres a shuttle running every morning to The Hilton Hotel so you can buy your lift pass"

"I really enjoyed my overnight here in Yuni. It's a small mountain style A frame coffee house connected to a nice corridor with only four rooms, so there isn't a lot of noise from other guests. The rooms were clean and the futons were comfortable. There are some fans to keep you cool, but summers in Hokkaido aren't too hot so it wasn't that big of a deal to not have AC. "The onsen is extensive with 5 different types of mineral baths. A tourist destination for Japanese families and others. Jigokudani (Hell Valley) is right next to the hotel and interesting to explore. It was pouring throughout our stay so only explored the onsen area of town."
