Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Arena Towers by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"We arrived early for our stay (due to an early flight). We stored our luggage for free in the luggage store. We had a slight concern about the room as it wasn't locked, but it was directly opposite reception, so hopefully any 'dodgy' characters may have been noticed. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a decent size for the 2 of us, and was clean. We had chosen not to have the room cleaned during our stay, and were surprised to find this entitled us to discount vouchers for the restaurant in the adjoining Holiday Inn (the Express has breakfast facilities, but doesn't cater for evening meals). We had one meal in the restaurant, which was good - fairly expensive, but the vouchers made it more reasonable. The 'free' breakfast choice was reasonable - continental, scrambled egg, toast, yogurt, fruit etc. The location is good. Generally a quiet area. It's a short walk to the nearby station, with a short journey to the main tourist areas. Would definitely recommend."
