"Het was in 1 woord geweldig! We hebben wel enorm lopen zoeken waar we moesten zijn. De kamer was nog beter geweest als er 1 of 2 stoelen zouden zijn geweest. Maar hoe leuk is het om met de kabelbaan naar je hotel te gaan en dan daar boven ook nog eens geweldig te kunnen eten. Het ontbijt is vanaf 9:30 dus zijn we naar beneden gelopen om daar te ontbijten, mooie optie! Ook beneden leuk en aardig geholpen."

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"We booked 3 nights in a hotel apartment. The first night we spent in a small room and it was not the same apartment we booked, the reception closes at 1pm so we couldn't do anything. The next day we spoke to the only receptionist there who couldn't speak English and was using a translation app, she admitted the mistake and promised to try to exchange the room for an apartment or deduct the city tax which is a very small amount! Fortunately they were able to change rooms but due to lack of time...

"We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location. "

"The room was wonderful, it was very quiet, romantic, comfortable bed, newly renovated bathroom. Great balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. Beautiful old building that is maintained very well. Old and new in perfect harmony. The staff was very friendly and helpful Would love to stay there again"
