This is a tiny village that is now part of a military training ground and can only be accessed a few times a year. It was evacuated in WW2 with the promise that the residents could go back after the war and when the military were finished using it, they were never allowed back. Most of the original village is gone but these are the 'houses' the military now use for training exercises #lifeatexpedia

"The cottage is more comfortable than I think and safe area,well functioning of kitchen appliances. If you can drive, you should have car because the schedule of public bus is not good."

"Towels were ratty, the sheets were tatty. One could hardly turn around in the shower of lukewarm water. The kitchen looked none too clean. Worst of all, our hostess was not welcoming, accommodating, or gracious. The only time she smiled was when we left. Breakfast was good, but we had to ask for napkins!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The hospitality extended by the staff was as friendly as it was professional and absolutely deserves a special mentioning. We did not have a chance to dine at the hotel but the breakfast was wonderful. We will certainly be back when we return to Bath next."
