"Large bedroom clean comfortable, Bathroom clean shower abit dated but worked fine.. The price was great and we will go again …. Food good not a vast amount on the menu,but pizza available instead if wanted about 5 starters 5 puddings… Staff very helpful The corridors were bright and turn on as you went down them..wall looked freshly painted and not tired and dated… Set in lovely well managed grounds ,no litter about and very quiet to sit in gardens Very good and drink wine"

"I found out room very shabby this time, we were at the back above the kitchens with scaffolding outside on the wall. There had obviously been a leak in the ceiling at some time and some efforts to patch it up weren't too great. The bathroom window had a crack in it so did the bedroom window. However this did not spoil our stay as the room and bathroom were very clean, the rest of the hotel was beautiful and the staff were lovely."

"Everything was top class apart from the evening meal which was really quite poor. When we sat down to eat both beef dishes (steak and feathered beef) had run out. The meatballs starter was also off the menu. We ordered the chicken and avocado burger. The chicken was tough and there was around 2cm of avocado on top of it. A good chef would have most definately questioned why so much food came back to the kitchen on one plate. We ordered the chocolate desert which should have bee. Chocolate brownie but the kitchen had also run out so we had a chocolate rocky road type pudding with ice cream which was good and also the cheese plate which had grapes that looked like they were a week old, most definately on there way out of date. Other than that, the room was stunning and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Would definately stay again and not take the half board option. Breakfast was great. "
