The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? "Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"I was very shocked when we arrived at the property. The grass was up to our knees and there was so much rubbish just chucked on the grounds around the house. To be honest we didn’t stay, we got a taxi and came back on the train back to Grange over Sands. "

The facilities were not good, poor lighting, the whole place needed a lot of renovation...

"Only one key to the whole building, got woken up at 11pm because another guest was locked outside and was banging on the door. Asked for fresh towels and never got a response from the owner. Kitchen had a bad smell coming from the fridges and the tv in my room was broken."
