It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. "We loved our stay here. It was one of our last stops on a 14 day trip around Scotland. We took advantage of the walking trails and sat by the beautiful beach to restore and refresh after a busy couple of weeks. The rooms were clean and fresh and well appointed. "
