"Very unique hotel that is a few different properties. We stayed in a room off the main hotel they was right next to the outdoor bar. Thankfully the live music stops at 7:30pm because it was very loud and even rattled the room. Highly recommend paying a little extra for the breakfast. The food was amazing. You can choose from a small buffet as well as a few breakfast meal options that were delicious. Unfortunately we didn’t get to ear dinner in their restaurant, but we heard great things about it. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Great use of space. "

"We had an early ferry to make and The Kelvin is very close. There is a bit of noise but not so much that its a problem. The hotel is super clean with nicely done rooms. Check in is very easy and the staff are super friendly. We stayed 2 nights and its very walkable."

"Room was fine - emergency stay after ferry was cancelled. A blind for the Velux window would be good - room was flooded with light from early morning. Not a complaint, more of a suggestion. Location good for ferry services."

"Four of us (all adults) spent two nights in Inverary and had reserved three rooms at the hotel months in advance. From the very first interaction with the staff, we were in love. Our rooms were large and comfortable, with lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the main street. One of our rooms was across the street, which gave us the chance to take fun photos of us waving and yelling to each other! The bathroom in my room was surprisingly big and while we only used the clawfoot tub to do some laundry, it was a nice treat! The cafe was bustling both mornings we were there and served delicious breakfast foods. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and quite time in the garden! We heard some locals enjoying themselves out in the street in the first night, but it was a Friday, after all ... we still slept well!"

"Rothesay was a revelation. We were put off by the ferry access on our upward journey but shouldn't have been. The hotel has wonderful views and is situated within easy walking distance along a promenade of interesting victorian hotels/apartments to a vibrant town centre. we were very lucky with the weather and loved everything about the hotel and the town."

"Overall, a very well managed hotel. The inn keeper was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Location is great along the main road. Parking behind the hotel was very convenient and there were plenty of spots when we traveled. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. In the bathroom, the sink was about the size as you would expect on a boat, very skinny and difficult to keep water from splashing everywhere. The shower was very nice, but similar to other places in Scotland there are no shelves to put toiletries on in the shower. The breakfast buffet was very tasty, ample, and fresh. We did not find a better place for breakfast in Oban. Note that if your room is on the street side, the street noise can be a bit much. "
