"We had a very nice, large, twin bedroom facing Lake Biwa. The room had a couch seating area and was still large enough for us to comfortably keep to big suitcases open in the room and easily get around. Breakfast service was good, with a variety of Japanese and Western dishes available. We also used the Club Lounge in the afternoons for tea and in the evenings for drinks and canapés. The staff were excellent, very friendly and professional. The hotel provides shuttle bus service to & from Otsu station plus there is a local tram line within a 5 min walk. The Lake Biwa cruise boat dock is within easy walking distance. "

"First of all, you must be charmed by the decoration and personality on display at Koke-Musu-inn. The place is alive with character. Then the staff welcomes you with their own charm and the package is complete. I found the care taken to provide a comfortable stay very impressive. The rooms were clean and well-maintained throughout my stay, and the location was great! I was glad to have found an easily accessible stopping point outside of Kyoto city. Much easier to decompress at night. I look forward to my next trip to Japan and hope I’ll get to stay there again. "

"The staff were incredibly nice even with a bit of a language barrier but we figured it out. The area is quiet and peaceful. The room was so cute and the building. It was a bit far from Kyoto but it was nice escape after a long day. And public transport was close by (10 min walk). Loved my experience and would definitely return and recommend. "
