Excellent Stay!!

Loved this Casa. The out door area with patio and pool was second to none. The view was spectacular and you could see Punta Sur clear as day. The casa was open and roomy, well stocked. Cleaner came every second day which was wonderful. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Islas Mujeres Retreat

This very well maintained property is located in a quiet section of the island but close enough to the main town or end of the island for easy access to everything. The house is equipped with all that is needed to enjoy your stay. A grill would have been nice. Lots of great restaurants near by. The property managers are VERY responsive and helpful in making arrangements for excursions, renting golf carts and advising on arrival and departure needs. Highly recommend.

Perfect House For a Couples Week

We went to Isla for a week with 2 other couples and stayed at Casa Carey. It was a perfect house for our group. It is decorated very tastefully, clean, with an amazing view being on the Caribbean side with a pool. Even though we didn't cook, since there are so many great restaurants on Isla, the kitchen was well equipped. Sophia and her staff were excellent. She arranged for golf carts to meet us at the ferry for the week and was always responsive to our questions. We would definitely recommend and stay at Casa Carey in the future.

Flawless experience on Isla Mujeres

I just returned with my family of five from a wonderful week at Casa Carey. The house was absolutely beautiful. The house is exactly as pictured, and the view is even more breathtaking in person. I loved staying on the quieter and less crowded south side of the island. Having said all that, it was the property manager, Sofia, who is responsible for the success of our family vacation. She coordinated everything from airport transfer, golf cart rental, in-house massage and tours. I had never been to the area and Sofia made everything easy and accessible. We also deeply enjoyed the delicious meal that she, her father and brother prepared for us. To top it all off, when I forgot my driver's license with the golf cart rental agency, Sofia herself brought it to my hotel on the mainland the last night that I was in town. Do not hesitate to book this experience at Casa Carey.

The property is amazing. The view from the pool over the ocean is unbelievable. Each room has it's own bath. all the amenities and furnishings are top notch. The caretaker, Sofia, is wonderful and takes care of anything you need on a moment's notice. I cannot recommend it enough. Didn't want to leave.

Simply Wonderful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Carey. Sofia was wonderful. She was so attentive when planning our trip with many suggestions about food and things to do on the island. Once we arrived, she was there to help us with any questions we had. The house was absolutely beautiful, and the views were amazing. The lilies were the perfect touch. We loved the whale shark tour and snorkeling with Mexico Divers...another suggestion from Sofia. During our stay, we had the pleasure of Sofia cooking for us and oh my goodness, was that amazing! We truly had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

Excellent up-scale option for a smaller group.

The property is very beautiful, right on the water, and couldn't be nicer. Fresh flowers and a cleaning twice were welcome and unexpected. Sofia was extremely easy to communicate with and was even able to procure some snacks and groceries for us before we arrived. The only issue is that the listing shows a washer and dryer, but we found out after arrival that it wasn't for guest use. I'd suggest adjusting the listing to be more accurate.

Even better than anticipated!

We had a wonderful stay! We were a group of six — four adults and two kids (age 7 and 10). The house had everything we might have needed, including pool floats, games, and a blender for frozen drinks. Coordination with Sofia before we arrived was easy. Highly recommend renting golf carts, she met us with ours at the port and we were on our way. The location on the southern end of the island is fantastic — walking distance from Punta Sur and a number of restaurants, easy golf cart ride to the grocery store and points farther north. We spent most mornings by the pool and then ventured out for an afternoon activity. The house was very clean, modern, and comfortable.

Our only regret is not staying longer :)

What an incredible experience! This trip was a birthday treat for my husband and his twin brother. Both our families came, which included a 3.5 and 1.5 year old. The house was exactly what we needed. It was open and well-kept. Plus the ocean view, patio and pool were perfect. There was no one staying at the house immediately next door so it was very peaceful and quiet. There was a party on the other side, but the vacant lot between made it a relative non-issue. While the house was incredible, it was Sofia that really made the experience seamless, especially with 2 littles. She has great communication leading up to the trip, helping plan for a crib and high chair, airport transportation, massages and a golf cart. SO easy. She was unavaialble for in-home dining but refereed us to another chef. I can't say enough good things about the experience with Quetzal Gourmet Experience! The food was DELICIOUS, they were very respectful of the space (planning, set up, service and cleanup), presented multiple menu options, offered very fair pricing and were just friendly people :) My daughter LOVED the snapper they made for the fish tacos. 10/10, no notes, we look forward to being back for a longer stay in the future.

- UNBELIEVABLY STUNNING!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Casa Carey and could not be happier with our choice! The home is breathtaking; from the sleek décor, to the perfectly situated windows offering sea views from nearly every room in the house (even the bathrooms), to how well the house was maintained and cleaned. Everything you could want or forgotten at home was there already (sunscreen, hats, rafts, pool towels, grill, anything and everything you could need in the kitchen to include top notch kitchenware, spices and even ziplock baggies!). The pool was a perfect meeting location to regroup and relax! The home was big enough to allow our 4 adults and 2 kids time to relax, while still enjoying the outdoors. The location was superb, offering peace and quiet at night and in the early morning hours with a trail leading to Punta Sur. Speaking of our host, Sofia where do we begin?! You’re an absolute angel, a superb chef, with an amazing family/team that hosted our private dinner. Sofia was extremely responsive and helpful the She not only had our transportation waiting for us for a seamless ride to Casa Carey, she had the golf carts waiting for us at the house! (the only reason we didn’t have our carts at the Ferry was because we had so much luggage, lol). We were SO blown away by her skills as our Chef for the night and will cherish our time spent with her family as one of the many highlights from our trip. Honestly, your service is top notch & we can’t wait to return!

Stunning property

The home was absolutely beautiful—pristinely clean, fully stocked, and modern & updated. The master is a spacious room with good size balcony and huge en suite. The grounds are immaculately kept. The best part was the pool and the gorgeous view. It is on the quiet side of the island so perfect for a family getaway. Close enough to drive golf carts to the north end, far enough away from the bustling town noise. Easy and beautiful walk to the Punta Sur which I highly recommend. There is really no beach to sit on but you still actually feel like you are on the beach the way the house is situated. Enough restaurants close by (no more than 5 minutes) to eat out every night if you want, but easy golf cart or taxi if you want to go to the north end. Convenience store is around the corner. For the teenagers (and adults), there are two “water parks” a 5 minute golf cart away. Sofia, the property manager, and her right hand man, Ronaldo, made our trip seamless. She made all of our golf cart, boat/car transfer, taxi, etc. arrangements. Everything was so easy. This was a true, relaxing vacation in the perfect spot. I highly recommend, and would absolutely stay here again if we come back. Definitely has earned 5 stars all the way around.

Fantastic Getaway

We had a wonderful 10-day visit to Casa Carey. We have visited Isla multiple times and enjoyed this property and the staff very much. The pictures are spot on. It has a great and well-furnished kitchen, unobstructed views over the Caribbean as well as towards the North (no house on next lot), two bedroom with fantastic views including decks and a third in the back. Each of the three bedrooms has its own luxurious bathroom. Quality of construction and materials really high. AC worked well. Exposed to wind which also offered good cooling. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable and seated 6. Great dining spaces both indoors and outside. Wonderfiul pool. The pool toys were a nice touch. Great running possible and easy visits to the mayan ruins, Playa Lancheros, Mango Cafe and more. Beyond the lack of a dishwasher, the only minus is that, as compared to some other nearby properties, the common area isn't as easy/comfofrtable to assemble everyone for a movie or games. Certainly possible but not as large/cozy sofas for 6 as other properties. The circular staircase is stunning but does take up a lot of the indoor space. The staff were great communicators and facilitated anything we asked for including golf carts ready on arrival. Really a fantastic property and a wonderful getaway!!

Couldn't find a complaint even if I tried

The most perfect vacation! We booked this house months before actually traveling after much research and reading other reviews. We had many questions, as it was our first time to the island. Sofia corresponded back and forth with me answering all our questions prior to traveling to Isla. She and her team made our stay beyond what was expected. She helped us with scheduling transportation, met us with our golf carts upon arriving to the island, led us to the property carrying our luggage in her car, and then walked us through the house sharing all the tips with us. The house was AMAZING. Walking in to a HUGE arrangement of fresh flowers and a breathtaking view blew us away. She had calming music playing and it felt as if we were in a spa. The house is equipped with everything we needed such as pool floats and towels, an outdoor speaker, lounge furniture, kitchen necessities, and an endless supply of drinking water! We assumed we would need to buy water bottles at the local grocery store, but they have a water dispenser on hand, and had refills delivered throughout our stay. Additionally, she kept the freezer stocked with bags of ice as she explained that the ice maker doesn't always keep up with demand. This was extra unexpected treat. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Casa Carey and the staff blew our minds. The included housekeeping was above and beyond. They even washed and folded some clothes for us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A little piece of paradise!

Our family vacation to Casa Carey was nothing short of amazing. The VIEW. The view could be a category all on it's own. Absolutely stunning. We especially enjoyed coffee in the morning and margaritas in the evening sitting at the pool overlooking the beautiful ocean. The lovely kitchen (with a view!) has all the utensils you need to cook every meal, if you so wish. The Chedraui supermarket is about a 8-10 min ride on the golf cart, and you can get just about anything you need there. The bedrooms/bathrooms/ the whole house is very nice! Get a golf cart! There is nothing that takes longer than 15-20 min on a cart, anywhere on the island. We appreciated getting a glimpse of the culture, by exploring the island by golf cart. Punta Sur (sculpture park) is worth seeing, and you could walk from the house if you want to. North Beach (Norte) is a must, especially if you are wanting to swim in the ocean. Our family also enjoyed hiking/climbing around on the rocks and cliffs below the house and finding lots of treasures and seeing how many iguanas we could spot! Fuego Del Mar was a fantastic restaurant... food and service. Amazing. I recommend the lobster! Soggy Peso for Margs! Sofia, your personal concierge is top notch. Whatever you ask, she will make it happen. She is also an awesome chef that will come to the house and cook for you! We did this on our last evening... and we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you, Casa Carey for a vacation we will never forget~

Stunning Casa Carey

Casa Carey was the perfect place to call home In Isla. The location was on the quieter side of the island but quick easy access to the action. There are views from every room, and the home is comfortable, modern elegance. We had groceries waiting for us that we requested and can transfers that was seamless from the airport to the ferry and a golf cart waiting for us to ride to the house. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the house and trying new restaurants. After driving the entire island and exploring, we knew we had picked the right place. There are walking trails all along the water”s edge with iguanas and beautiful scenery. You were not able to access the beach close to the house due to the crashing waves but the view pool side and the walks were perfect. There are plenty of areas to use the beach AKA Beach club The only little hiccup we had had nothing to do with the home is the neighbor had a full DJ party bash the first night til 2 am outside. My older girls did not mind and it was only one night. They seemed to be having a blast over there. LOL We would 100% stay at Casa Carey again! The gorgeous home and setting, comfort, space, location, wonderful staff, and overall peacefulness of the place. Great job to the owners and staff (Sofia is great) We have traveled all over the USA, Greece, Paris, Turks and Caicos, London and more. We travel with 3 girls and a home base matters so much as we are picky. This was ideal for us as a family. Thank you so much 💕

Paradise and Comfort!!

Casa Carey is absolutely amazing. This house only has neighbors on one side and is in a beautiful section near Punta Sur with panoramic ocean views from two of the bedrooms, most areas of the downstairs and 180° at the pool. It’s a newer home constructed with high quality materials. The use of space is intelligent and some of the design features are incredibly unique. The staircase to the second floor is stunning!!!! Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with rain showerheads, built in drawers and closets, comfortable beds, nice sheets and comforters, ceiling fans, and individual climate control. Downstairs there is a nice living area, and very functional kitchen with all the accessories you could need (nicely organized, too). The fridge is large and the ice maker is connected to a purified water source. There is a water bubbler machine that dispenses cold and hot water. The pool is to die for! The lounge chairs are comfortable. The bench style dining table is made of gorgeous wood (I seriously want it in my home). You cannot beat the view. Often rentals show signs of wear and tear but that is not the case here….this home is immaculate and spotless and great attention to detail is given to ensure it stays that way. Thanks to Sophia for arranging our cab rides, dinner reservations, massages by the pool, the birthday cake, and the warm greeting and send off. I would rent Casa Carey again in a heartbeat and hope to return sooner rather than later. Muchas gracias!!!!!
