Equinoccio Hotel
5/5 Excellent
"We stayed at Equinoccio for our 1-year wedding anniversary and it was absolutely incredible, so I felt compelled to leave a review.
This locally-owned hotel felt like a true boutique experience: the views were amazing, the rooms were clean and had really good A/C and the facility is pristine. The amenities included a restaurant/bar, jet ski/boating, and transportation.
One of the most notable things was the above and beyond hospitality. The staff are amazing - welcoming and attentive. We never had to flag anyone down because they always checked on us. It really made us feel special.
Further, the manager Carlos was incredible. After a visit to a coffee farm he offered to personally pick us up. He shared the hotel's philosophy on supporting the local community, from the people he hired to the ingredients in the meals. That's something you don't experience often
A very nice and welcome surprise was the AMAZING food. Quite literally some of the best authentic Salvadoran food we had while on the trip. They also roast their own coffee and I'm actually drinking a cup of their coffee as I type this.
Let me tell you - I don't write reviews often, but Equinnocio is amazing and I hope it remains a staple in the area. Please do yourself the favor and stay here."
