"This property has a lot of character and amazing views. It’s not a new or fancy place but it was clean and it’s a great location. We were checked in by Kathy who was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and had a lovely balcony with a small table and two chairs. We really enjoyed sitting out there and looking at the river, bridge and downtown. The room was okay, the only negative was that the sheets were old and had “pills” of material. During the night of our stay there was a tornado warning and we had to go to the basement at 3:00 AM. The electricity went out. We got back to our room around 4:45 and at 6:30 someone from the hotel knocked on our door and woke us up. He said not to use the water as the electricity was still out. He left a couple of bottles of water by the door. It was not the fault of the hotel that the electricity went out but it sure made for a rough morning. Not even any coffee to help wake up after so little sleep. But we did like the place and would stay again."
