"My stay yesterday was beyond amazing. The check in was fast and smooth. The room, hallway and bathroom was very clean. The breakfast in the morning was well stocked. This is the exact opposite of the Puffin Inn that we stayed in last 2024. Back then, the room and hallway was dirty and the beds was not cleaned when we came in. That time i decided i will not be back. I'm so glad i came back and decided to give it a try despite of my child's hesitation. She was happy to see the big improvement, too. This will be the hotel that we will go to from now on."

"We had a great 3-night stay at this property. I want to highlight a few things for future renters so you go I with clear expectations. This is not a newly renovated property with lots of trendy things thrown in. It's an older Alaskan home. Very comfrtable and cozy. Furniture is old but it's solid wood and nothing wobbles. Kitchen appliances are probably from the 90s but they all work, the gas stove is great, dishwasher is a little loud and the Keurig co.e stocked with coffee pods and all the fixings. Best part - a set of sharp knives. Bathroom has a door that sticks but the shower has great water pressure and water is nice and hot. Thermostat can be adjusted to your comfort level. Beds have wonderful, firm mattresses and a selection of pillows in the closet ( I found a foam won that resembles what I have at home. Tbe neighborhood is safe, quiet with little light pollution. There's a grocery store and some good restaurants a quarter mile from. The house. Theres ample parking, clear of snow. The host is very responsive. There are amazing cookies to greet you when you arrive. We travel a lot for sports and this was a great place to rest and recover between hockey matches, cook healthy meals and watch the Olympics. There's a covered private deck outside facing the lake which must be spectacular in the summer. We will gladly come back next season. "

"Stayed in Anchorage as we were there for the Thanksgiving holiday. The place was dog friendly which was a plus. There was a tv on constantly in the downstairs unit that we could hear allllll night long which was a bit irritating. Also the entry is under construction which wasn't told to us before hand... which was a little surprising.. all in all we enjoyed our stay. "

"Beautiful house in a great location! However, 2 beds had dirty sheets on them, the blinds/curtain in the master are broken and won’t close, dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, they are mid remodel downstairs, the WiFi network and password had been changed from what was sent at check in. House had more than enough of a stocked kitchen, which we loved. "

"Our door code fell off the check in instructions in our hotels.com app. Luckily I had already spoke to our host and he was able to open the garage door remotely. We parked in the very clean garage and used that as our entry/exit point each day. Kitchen is full size and has all the cooking items needed. Host supplied several coffee k cups, but if you want sugar, tea or hot chocolate, you will need to bring it. Lots of spices and salt and pepper. Host supplied laundry supplies, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, blow dryer. There was one king and 2 queen beds, I did see a queen blow up mattress and baby pack and play. Very slim deck, but house buts up to the neighbors. Still lots of mosquitoes out during our visit, so we did not go sit outside. Space was clean, open and easy to enjoy. It is a bi-level home, 2 bedrooms downstairs with a full bath and kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath, master bedroom and full bath on second floor. Laundry in the 1/2 bath. I share this for any wheel chaired guest, this would not be a location for you. Jewel Lake road is busy with folks who like to rev up their engines. You can hear airplanes taking off during the night. If you are a sensitive sleeper this might bother you, there are oscillating fans in each room, so I turned it on 2 and planes and cars did not bother me, but my hubby slept with ear plugs. My other guest were not bothered by this. The host was very responsive to any questions, he was great. I we go back to this townhouse. "
