"I arrived at Gare de Lyon later than scheduled and the car hire (Europcar - big thumbs down for them incidentally) had closed without waiting. Stranded overnight in the centre of Paris I was amazed to find a place for less than Eu 100/night. Timhotel was less than 5 mins from the station and the staff remained on duty all night as well as being friendly (not always the case in Paris!). It was -3 degrees that night but the room was warm as well as clean, the shower piping hot and very little...

"Location is definitely one of the best aspects of this hotel. Approximately a 10 minute walk to the Louvre and several metro stations. Staff were very nice and someone was always at the front desk. Unfortunately the rooms have very thin walls and you can hear doors closing (or slamming) at all hours. The rooms with the big windows and a balcony are also extremely noisy as the windows don’t make for great sound barriers for all the street traffic. Rooms were basic however stocked appropriately. "
