"Escala is a tight efficient hotel right off of the Corvin Plaza. For the small footprint it provides a lot of comfort. Many units have partial kitchens and some even have working washing machines for clothes. The breakfast in the morning is worth it and staff are accommodating to guests from around the world. The location is excellent--it is on a very quiet and peaceful street near restaurants that locals go to while also being close to tourist attractions and tourist nightlife--also a 10 minute walk from bus to airport. The rooms are clean, service excellent, and there are lots of nice touches--towels folded into swans on the bed, special glasses for brandy/cordials... I highly recommend it. As a woman...
