"King size mattress was terrible (all spring no padding) Bathroom door was falling apart and fan sounded awfu. The Breakfast was a disappointment as they had nothing but Carb loaded junk food (bagels,muffins,bread etc, no eggs , no sausage or bacon,no make your own waffles… come on"

"The property is old, the room needs an update and some maintenance throughout. It is in a good location right by the lake and was quiet. "

"Decided to head north during our spring break and were lucky to find this place. You could hear the sound of the waves as soon as we stepped out of the car. The house is a bit quirky, but that adds to the charm. Our 2 teenage boys enjoyed having bedrooms/bathroom to themselves up the first set of stairs, with mom & dad staying in the main floor bedroom. Rooms were comfortable. The real star was the great room with spectacular views of Lake Superior - simply amazing! We spent a lot of time sitting in the "lookout loft" (as we called it) watching the waves. The first night we were treated to endless stars and northern lights. On the last evening there was a wind advisory; we watched the waves increase in size as the day went on, never tiring of the sound of them crashing against the shore. It was too cold for us to sit outside on the deck, but it is large with Adirondack chairs - would be lovely in warmer weather. We did use the kitchen for quick meals/leftovers and easily found whatever we needed. Location is close enough to Grand Marais to grab some dinner or groceries, also close enough to Grand Portage to get a meal and check out the High Falls. Shayla was responsive and easy to communicate with.We enjoyed our stay and would go back! Every one of us said we would love to see the shore there in the summer."

"This cozy little cottage gave us a warm and welcoming place to call home during our winter stay in Grand Marais. It had everything we needed, and everything was clean and well maintained. We only wish we could have visited in the summer to fully enjoy the view from the deck.The location was perfect for us, especially since we had friends staying in cabins just down the road. The only minor drawback was some ice near the entryway, though it has been an especially icy season. We would gladly return—next time to relax and take in the deck views."
