"We really enjoyed this historic older building built in 1884 near the black river and close to Lake Michigan. Our room was small but comfortable; quiet at night and in the morning. We had a nice view of the water. Breakfast was phenomenal with many choices like a home-cooked meal. The only hitch was the first night where we didn’t know how to control the room’s radiator heat and it got too warm. The staff was very friendly and helpful offering suggestions on things to do in the area. We were able to do some fun trail walks seeing the beautiful fall colors and many nice little shops in town. We definitely would do it again. "

"The house was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and super spacious! It had everything you could possibly think of and more when it came to amenities. Super close to trails, beach, and South Haven, and just a short drive to other great towns too. Communication with our host was swift and reliable if we had any questions. The indoor pool in the neighborhood was such a highlight for my kids, given that we went in early fall, so Lake Michigan was a bit too cold for swimming. Absolutely can’t say enough great things about our stay! Would highly recommend!"
