"Ive stayed here a couple of times already. I really love the location and proximity to Quinta Avenida as well as restaurants and entertainment. There are so many food options, in the resort, love the access to the beach and large pool. My husband and I loved the entertainment options as well as the customer service. Everyone was so cordial at all times. I'd like to give a shout out to German, who was the bartender at the Tequileria bar during our stay. The purpose of this trip was to celebrate my birthday. I absolutely felt celebrated at all times during my stay. I look forward to returning here soon and celebrating more special moments!"

"Reservations were very hard to make. You have to wake up at 6:30am and go stand in line to possibly get a reservation. Other than that well worth the money and a beautiful resort!"

"Cuando me quise registrar en la recepcion Edgar, el de recepcion, fue muy grosero y me dio una respuesta muy cerrada al momento de yo no tener una identificacion. Cuando yo tenia todos los comprovantes de ser la persona en ocupar la reservacion. Yo sabia que se arreglaria todo pero el me dijo que no podia hacer nada!!! Pues es el precio del hotel es para tratar a los habitantes con cortesia y el fue muy grosero y falta de etica profesional. Nunca se me pidio una disculpa ni de parte de el ni del supervisor. "

"It was really nice that they set up our room with a nice tray of fruit and a bottle of Brut Champagne 🍾 for being a vip guest. Then for my birthday 🎂 they set the room up with balloons, a bottle of wine, fruit tray, and meat & cheese tray, and made a heart shape on the floor with rose petals. They also left a bag for my birthday with a tee shirt, a small basket of Mexican candy, Riviera Maya refrigerator magnet, and a printed up birthday card with name on it. The Concierge Ali was very sweet and made sure everything was to our liking. We enjoyed all the wildlife especially seeing monkey. Pools were clean, and the grounds well maintained. Specialty Restaurants were good, but the buffet was lacking in food quality compared to other resorts we've been too. A bit displeased with the very gray looking sheets, and bathroom towels. Asked for a blanket for the bed and it had black marks on it as if someone used it to work on a car. I did take it up the front desk the next day to show them the dirty looking blanket we received and told them how dirty their sheets and towels looked. I also asked for a mattress pad for comfort. When we came back to the room later, it looked like they gave us new sheets & towels, along with putting on a mattress pad. Very please they replaced things. Only issue was they gave us a sheet when we called again for a blanket. Staff was nice, drinks were good, & the resort is very nice looking & well maintained. We did have an enjoyable stay at Kantenah."

"My experience at Riu Palace Riviera Maya was extremely disappointing and did not meet expectations. The food quality was consistently poor. Most meals were bland or unappetizing, and we found ourselves skipping meals throughout our stay. Breakfast was the only acceptable option, though still average. We upgraded to the “Elite” level expecting an enhanced experience; however, the only noticeable benefit was access to higher-quality liquor. The designated “Elite” pool lacked food service, entertainment, and overall atmosphere, while the standard pool offered a much more engaging experience. This discrepancy made the upgrade feel unjustified. The beach conditions were also subpar, with significant amounts of seaweed that appeared to be minimally maintained by the resort. Additionally, pricing and service issues further impacted our stay. When inquiring about extending one night, we were quoted $1,000—equivalent to the cost of our five-night stay. After booking externally, a minor reservation error (one guest instead of two) resulted in a proposed $600 charge to add a second person. Resolving this took approximately four hours. During this time, front desk staff displayed unprofessional behavior, including laughing and pointing, which was inappropriate. Overall, this resort did not provide the quality or service expected. I would not recommend staying here."

"I’ve stayed at Hyatt Vivid (next door) and I thought it was great. While walking at the beach, looking at Devossion by Live Aqua, it didn’t seem too attractive. However, this time we decided to give at chance. By just simply walking in into Devossion (front entry) it takes your breath away. The view of the ocean from the front desk (checking in) is AMAZING!!!!! I felt in love at first sight with this resort. The views, the restaurants, the ambiance, their customer service…. Everything that you need to relax. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend. The views from the hotel from any angle, is AMAZING… lets not forget the views during the night, FANTASTIC!"
