"We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back."

"We arrived at night but received a room upgrade from garden view to sea view which was very nice, however the room did smell like it was previously smoked in. It seems as though we were on the older side of the resort that was renovated. There is a newer side of the resort as well (on the other side). "A fantastic hotel. Great position with a large private beach/ coast. Fantastic views. 15 minute costal walk to Agios Nikolaos. Breakfast was exceptional with lots of options and first class service. The only area for improvement was the main building sea view room which was a little dated and in need of some modernisation to keep up with the rest of the hotel. The bungalows look great and I when I come back Id go for one of those instead…. Overall this hotel was brilliant. A true 5 star paradise...

"It is one of the most beautiful places we've had the great fortune to experience, and it is so beautiful that we didn't leave the resort during our entire 3-day stay. From start to finish, every detail was considered, and every need was taken care of. The team is welcoming and kind, and the location is absolutely stunning. While visiting with my partner (our kids left at home), we were keenly aware of how family-friendly the resort is, a pro for the many happy groups around us. If you plan to visit in May as we did, know the water will be fresh (!), and private pools might be too chilly to truly enjoy - though they'll still offer the perfect backdrop for some of the best photos you may ever take! We highly recommend Daios Cove."
