"I stay at this property often the last 10 years and don’t usually have any issues, in fact I love the place, which is why I continue to come back. This trip we stayed in one of the top floor attic rooms in the main building and were told that our key may not work- that’s not something you want hear upon checking in. We asked when it would be resolved and were told by the time we got back that evening that it should work. Well, we rolled in around midnight and the key did not in fact work, nor was there staff on site to let us into our room. We went through a 45 minute scavenger hunt through the hotel over the phone with a staff member to recover a key that still didn’t let us in and he finally came to the property to let us in- this after a Saturday night out none the less. Communication and follow through to resolve the issue prior to coming back to a locked out room would have been appreciated much more than handing a guest a key telling them it’s not functioning. If it was my first time staying here, I would likely not go back based on how this transpired. Otherwise property is ideally located and convenient to the main drag. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Southernmost Duval guesthouse. The guesthouse was beautiful and very private and clean. We were slightly disappointed that we were so far from the resort and all the amenities. Next time we will know how to book a room at the actual resort. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality."

"This property would be decent for a price point of $120 or less but in the mid $200s per night, it is quite a low value for money. It was difficult to sleep because there is no sound proofing in the rooms. You hear everything outside and our room was directly next to reception. There is also not enough parking for all the guests and we had to park several blocks away. The room was very small and the bathroom door only open 1/2 of the way because it hits the bed. You have to squeeze sideways in and out of the doorway. There is also no counter space in the bathroom because it’s so small. In the room there is a portable AC unit but it’s very loud and poorly maintained or maybe just old. This makes it hard to sleep at night. We were also very surprised at the unreasonable check in and out times. Check in is 4 pm and check out is 10 am. This is shorter than standard hotel times. The staff was friendly and it was nice to have a welcome drink, but overall we were very disappointed in the stay and would not recommend this hotel."

"When we checked in, Roman made us feel like we were home! He was absolutely wonderful. The room was nearly perfect for us. Great breakfast. Great location in walking distance to the marina, Mallory Square, and Duval. Many great restaurants and shops nearby. The pool needed attention and our bathroom was pretty small. But te bed and pillows were amazing. Would definitely stay the again! "

"Was nice coffee and breakfast my issue was I booked two different reservations and asked if I could keep the same bed. The lady got rude and ask if I was fit to stay there. Long haired Spanish girl at front desk. Then it was the female dorm a intimidating lookng mam came in. When I was sleeping twice I guess to clean. Then two lady's came in. Lessen learned don't book on Expedia then nyah site. Expedia sold out. They place was nice just no sleeping in. I'd get the privet room next time If you don't want 4 different cleaning people in your room Waking u up when you need rest. Great place to meet people and the hot tub pools and breakfast nice also pretty clean place"
